About Kuni
KUNI Maskinfabrik A/S was founded in 1981 and has ever since been servicing the Danish
woodworking industry.
To start with the own production was 2-roller adhesive machines and later this was expanded to also include
4-roller dosing applicators.
In addition to the adhesive machines KUNI Maskinfabrik has developed a system for mixing of 2-component adhesive that today has been extended up to 4 components.
Latest we have introduced a mixer for dynamic mixing of EPI glue without formaldehyde.
KUNI Maskinfabrik has its own grinding department, where we maintain all kinds of rubber rollers
for the wooden industry.
We also repair and renovate Costa sanding machines.
In 2004 KUNI Maskinfabrik A/S took over the company Sennerskov Presser, which until then was located in Copenhagen. Since 1940, the company Sennerskov Presser has produced more than 2000 presses worldwide.
As a controlled expansion of the production of presses, the area of our factory in Silkeborg has been expanded
with a new hall: 10 meters high and with a 20 tons travelling crane for the production of presses.
KUNI Maskinfabrik A/S purchased SMETEK Presser in year 2009.
SMETEK Presser was founded in 1988 by Mr. Bent Jensen, Odder, and has over the past years built around
100 press units, some of which being significant rebuilding (the Retrofit Package) and modernization of very large hydraulic presses, in Denmark as well as abroad, including the USA and Great Britain in particular.
The heaviest press to be produced so far weighs 120 tons and has a pressing capacity of 6000 tons.
The platen dimensions of the largest press are 3.6 x 12 metres.
In order to meet the markets demands for presses, we constantly make developments.
Furthermore, we provide service for all types of hydraulic presses, as well as we perform renovation of these.
Apart from offering expertise in the above mentioned areas KUNI Maskinfabrik A/S also puts its very broad production equipment as well as staff at disposal to carry out new development projects.
Naturally, we are also available and happy to be of assistance for various kinds of subcontracting.
KUNI Maskinfabrik has 6 service vans and employs 16 people.
